A Trip to the MOMA

Hello All! Today I made my way to the MOMA, the Museum of Modern Art for free Fridays sponsored by Target! I had a great time. The exhibits were pretty much the same as the other times I had been there, but something pretty exciting is coming this month... TIM BURTON! I have included a few pictures of the exhibit they are working on featuring some of his work. I am excited to see some of the new Alice in Wonderland stuff, and will certainly be back when that exhibit opens up!

They also had some works by Richard Avedon. I was so incredibly inspired by his work. He is known for his portraiture of Marilyn Monroe and many other celebrities. His work was just incredible and it was very inspirational. It makes me want to be very good at what I do... which is going to take a lot more work and dedication, but I am certainly going to try. Below is a photograph by Avedon, you just cannot beat a bonified silver print. Something about a dark room makes these prints seem so much more dimensional.

And here is Starry Night... blah, blah, blah. This is a very famous piece, I know, but there are so many more cooler pieces there! Everyone crowds around this one, which is considerably smaller in real life than one would imagine.

Here are some photos of the interior of the museum, very cool place.
